Cradle cap or something else?

My son is 15 months and I just realized this spot on his head. 
Thoughts on what it could be? Tips for best way to treat it? TIA

It's hard to really see the picture, but if it cradle cap I found that lathering the hair in the bath and then running a fine tooth comb through it helps to get rid of it. I got a comb that is technically for animals and removing stuff from their fur, but it came with four and it looks like a baby comb. It also seems like good quality.
