Do you always lose your mucus plug?

39 weeks - just days from my due date & other than a lot of Braxton-Hicks there have been no signs of baby coming soon. Has anyone gone into labor without losing their mucus plug etc?

I didn’t lose mine - I was in labour for a few hours already, contractions about 7 minutes apart, and I peed and when I wiped there was a HINT of pink and that was it. Doctors had to break my waters just before I started pushing!

Mucus plug doesn’t mean much, I lost mine yesterday and unfortunately I’m not in labor.

I did not with my first two, but did with my 3rd. So, no. You do not have to loose your mucus plug first.
