What to do for Sinus infection

Ok so last week I had the flu, and I went to the doctor and it’s been a week and 2 days of having it. And now it’s turned into a sinus infection. My whole right side of my face hurts, and I keep blowing my nose and it’s green (I know, gross). I’m 14 weeks pregnant and I have no idea what I can take or do to get rid of this sinus pressure. It hurts so bad. I just want to feel better. What do y’all recommend?

Go to the dr. If you have a sinus infection you need antibiotics. My dr has Sudafed on the approved otc list. Also ask a pharmacist before taking anything that you’re unsure of

You will need antibiotics. To help get rid of the pressure you can use a saline rinse. It is kinda gross smelling and it isn't pleasant but it works really well. I had to do this about a month ago I ended up with severe congestion that turned into an ear infection.

Definitely get seen again for possibly getting an antibiotic for any infection. But try a steam humidifier to help open it up and get things out. I have a Vick’s one that you can add vapor tabs to to help clear things out. If you don’t have a humidifier you can make your bathroom real steamy by not turning the fan on and running the shower on hot before getting in at a lower temp (unless you’re like me who loves super hot showers). If it is an infection though, you really need to be seen too.

If you’ve been diagnosed with a sinus infection, you will be on antibiotics. If you’re just still dealing with lingering congestion, you can take pseudoephedrine.
