Whelp we got our first ear infection ever last week and it a been pure hell. My little has been sick with two rounds of cold back to back spanning almost 7 weeks and all the holidays with lots of travel 😩

Last week we saw the Pediatrican who ordered Amoxicillin for the ear infection. It didn’t help AT ALL... I guess this wasn’t earth shattering because it means it could be viral? She’s been screaming bloody murder for hours at night even when I’m doing everything possible to calm her. She was never a great sleeper but now sleeps for less than 3 hour chunks and wakes up so upset. It’s been 10 days of it... during the day she’s not too bothered when busy although she did spike random low fever Sunday- Monday.

Anyway on day 7 of amoxicillin little boo got a rash that spread terribly overnight. They weren’t sure if it was a virus but decided it looked like allergy so we are on to another antibiotic and Benadryl. Anyone given their little ones Benadryl? Feels weird to give it during the day... that would make me feel awful.

My babe has daycare tomorrow and since there is no fever or risk of spreading seems like I could send her. She’s been sooooooooooo difficult this week for me. She’s often way less fussy with the provider than me. Maybe a partial day? I’ll have to see how the night goes but wondering if people have experience with daytime Benadryl use? Thanks all.
