Drug bust 😩

So I’m from Colorado. My husband and I drove to Arkansas to his moms. We were in separate cars (him the truck with the trailer, me in the rv). Well I was in front of him by several miles. We were in Oklahoma close to the Arkansas border. We hardly saw any cops the whole other 11~ hours of our drive. I called him telling him I wanted to smoke the last little part of my joint cuz I mean why not. Now I know for most people weed and driving isn’t a good mix but personally for me it helps me stay focused. I don’t get stupid high and try to drive just enough so that I chill out 😂.

Well he tells me the usual “go for it just don’t smoke too much that you can’t drive” like ya I know lol

Well about two minutes after I started smoking just ever so slightly I come around a corner and there’s not one, not two, but 5 state troopers lined up on the median just waiting to get some unlucky fuckers 🤦🏼‍♀️

Today I was one of those unlucky fuckers 😟

Y’all I’ve never been so terrified in my life like I was when I saw one of those troopers pull out and start to follow me 👀

“Failure to maintain my lane” aka the wind was hella crazy, had been the whole drive, only now I’m high and the rv smells like hella weed and there’s a state trooper taking an interest 😂

Well I dropped the joint back into its little black joint holder that they sell them in, closed it and dropped it under the seat

Such a good hiding place I’m aware 🤦🏼‍♀️ lighter right next to it just to condemn myself a bit more

The cop tells me to get out so I grab my coat, ID and phone. Go to the car with him and he tells me to sit in the front to get out of the wind

All was going good, he wrote me a warning for not staying in my lane cuz it really was windy af lol

He tells me I’m good to go

All good right?

WRONG

He looks at me and tells me to get back in the car as I’m stepping out and asks why the rv smells like marijuana 🤦🏼‍♀️

Fuck me

Well at some point in there my husband also pulls over and is making friends with the second cop that stopped

So the cops then gang up and tell me they have probable cause to search the rv, which has also been our home since August.

I tell them that yes I smoke but in the safety of the state of Colorado and that this is our house and that’s why I smelled like weed

Well they wanna search for the “bags of weed” that I’m supposedly hiding 🙄

I made sure I didn’t have anything on me really cuz I’m not dumb lol so there was just the last little part of a joint, whatever was left in my grinder and a juice edible (which I forgot about until my husband kindly reminded me of while they were inside searching)

He pulls off to leave cuz he didn’t wanna get in trouble to cuz somebody gonna have to bail me out now right 🤦🏼‍♀️

Cop 2 (my husbands new found friend) comes out of the rv And walks up to me and says “now ma’am you need to tell us where you hid your bags of weed, where’d you’re husband go?”

Me “he went to get gas he was almost out. I don’t have any bags of weed there’s nothing in there” 🤷🏼‍♀️

Cop 2 “now we know you have weed in there cuz we can smell it”

I go into detail on how this is our home and yes I smoke IN COLORADO 🤫

So he goes back inside

So they didn’t find the joint just sitting under the drivers seat?

Now if you’ve ever had an rv you’ll notice that the drivers seat has a fair amount of room under it and there’s no hiding anything under there 🤦🏼‍♀️

Cue cop 1 “so you need to tell us where your bags of weed are so we can be done with this”

There are no bags of weed 🤦🏼‍♀️

So I give up my grinder in the bathroom mirror cabinet.

It has the least and doesn’t prove I was smoking and driving

They buy it!

They go inside find it, dump it in the sink like wtf 😂 and tell me that was all they found and that I’m free to go and to be more careful next time 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

They NEVER found the joint under the seat that was responsible for this whole ordeal and I walked away with a warning for failure to maintain my lane 🤦🏼‍♀️

And a lot of anxiety

And about a bowl full less of weed ☹️

But jokes on them cuz they didn’t dump out the bottom part of my grinder that I’ve been saving or my weed drink that was in the cabinet above the drivers seat or the joint 😂

I did toss the joint out a bit later tho however because another state trooper started to follow me and I just didn’t need that 😂

So no jail for me tonight 🤪🍻
