Named My Daughter After My MIL
My Husband and I were having a hard time coming up with an “M” name for our daughter since we really wanted her to have an “M” name like her older sister. (Wanted same initials for the first & middle name). Toward the end of pregnancy, we decided to name our daughter after my Mother-In-Law & her name is Marisol. So we named her “Marisol Alaia Martinez.” I love how the name sounds and looks together, but now that my daughter is here, I find myself feeling weird calling her Marisol (she’s 3 months old now). I’m very close to my Mother-In-Law & we love her dearly, but I just dislike how I can’t find myself calling her this. Maybe I’ll get used to it at some point, Idk. Also, Grandpa feels weird calling his Ex (Grandma’s name) our daughter’s name so he says he’ll call her by her middle name.
(Just looking for feedback) Thank you.
