Phone appointment tomorrow
I got a call from her pediatrician's office today asking if I knew we had a phone appointment tomorrow, it was news to me. But the lady was kind enough to say it was in regards to the lab work we had done on the 3rd. So I looked up the results online so I know what I'm potentially walking into tomorrow. Her mcv was low and two types of blood cells were elevated. Of course when it comes to blood work, since I had to google everything to figure out what it was, it suggests cancer first 🙄 likely, shes anemic because my mom and I both are. But next to the appointment they listed it as "initial speciality care" with tricare almost everything is handled by the pcm, so I'm assuming this means some kind of referral for additional testing or diagnosis. I'm hoping I'm just overreacting and they just want to monitor it a little since the levels werent super above or below normal. Any little ones out there that also have been diagnosed anemic? Or does any of this sound familiar?
Edit: well they never called. I waited for an hour before I called our appointment line for our hospital, since the offices dont give out direct phone numbers, and all she could do was request a call to discuss results. She has her 15 month follow up in about 2 weeks, so I guess we'll figure more out then because I doubt theyll call since they missed today's appointment.
