Induction went perfectly!!! 🙌🏼

Isabel

Checked in at midnight, started first dose of cytotec around 1:30am at 2cm dilated. Received 2nd dose of cytotec around 5:30am still was about 2cm. Dr. came in around 8am to break my water at 3cm. Got the epidural around 8:30am. At 9:30am they started pitocin, I was still 3cm dilated. Immediately fell asleep, nurses came to check on me every once in a while so I was in and out of sleep. At noon Dr. came in and checked on me and told me he didn’t have to stick his hand in cuz baby’s head was right there 😱. Everyone rushed in immediately to set up and she came out in 2 pushes!!! Only bad experience was when getting the epidural was the nurse anesthetist had to stick me 3 times until she found a spot where I couldn’t feel anything. So I have a nasty bruise on my epidural site and it’s extremely sore and painful after. But baby Sophia Alexandra Sarmiento was born 1/9/20 @ 12:18pm weighing in at 7.7lbs and 21 1/2 inches long! I’m in love all over again. And she came out searching to latch and has been nursing like a champ!
