How early is too early?!?

Question

My husband and i have been trying to get pregnant again for the past 2 months.  Our daughter is now 7 months old.  I am currently 10 DPO...do y'all think its too early for me to begin taking pregnancy tests to see if we are pregnant this month?  I am just so anxious and want to be pregnant before or by May.  I do not want to be 37 and have another baby (just my personal desire).

After over six months of trying I am learning to just wait for that missed period. Taking the early tests and getting a negative just makes you test again and again going into your period. The anxiety goes through the roof! But a lot of the tests will be 70 some odd % accurate five days before your anticipated period.

How early is too early?!?
