Daycare costs for newborn?!

First time mom here and curious about what price range you all pay for daycare. 

My situation is very complicated and stressful...my fiancé is stationed across the country from me and the Air Force denied his early separation just last week. I am unable to relocate due to being enrolled in a full time Masters in Nurse Anesthesia program in Pittsburgh. Due to clinical at the hospitals, I am required to be at the hospital very early. We do not have any family here that could because the only reason I moved ten hours from our home town was to attend graduate school. 

I will need daycare full time for at least three days a week and part time for two days a week. I have checked two local daycares and the cost will be about $1200 a month for full time care five days a week. I was shocked!! That is more than my rent! Is this a normal price or are there cheaper options available that you could point me in the right direction to?
