No kids?

Question

My boyfriend is completely close minded about having kids he tells me he doesn’t want kids but other times he’s like i want kids with you. But if i got pregnant and it was a surprise(i’m not pregnant) i’m scared he’ll leave but he’s also not that type of person so am i just overthinking?

doesn’t sounds like you two want the same things, and him being wish washy isn’t helpful to the situation. i’d call it quits and find someone who’s sure about what they want in the future and what they want with you. i could never be with someone who i fear would abandon me and their child.

You need to have a serious conversation about this and then decide if your both ok with each others answers. If you don’t want the same things then I would move on (I know that sucks).

My HR manager dated a man which didn’t want children and she loved him and just agreed but then after 10 years or so of marriage they ended up getting divorced and by the time she found a new husband she said she was too old to have a child and regrets it a lot in her life. 
Maybe have a serious conversation about this, this is your life too.

Do not have kids by “surprise” kids should be planned specially in a situation like this. 
If you want babies then talk to him about it. And take all the precautions to not get pregnant until you both agree 100% on it

How old are you both? (I'm guessing realtively young). If you are having sex make sure it is protected to try and avoid "suprise" pregnancies. Depending on how old you are/how long you have been together and or serious your relationship is I would start having serious conversations on if and when you ever want kids and how many etc. If your views don't match you both have to decide if that is a make or break desicion for you. Even if you care about each other and the relationship is perfect in every other way it could be for the best to end the relationship so both of you are happier in the future.
