When to buy clothes

I am so excited to be pregnant and I am wanting to buy stuff but my husband keeps telling me to not buy anything till we know the gender I am only 4 weeks should I wait or is it okay to buy small things here and there?

I waited until I knew the gender but that was early with my last two. I was 11 weeks when I found out what I was having. It’s really a personal preference for everyone.

I went ahead and made an Amazon list full of a lot of gender neutral clothes. Burts Bees has a line that is pretty neutral. I say stock up on basics at least, jeans, shorts, long and short sleeved onesies. That way you have a starting point and can get the cute frilly or handsome stuff later.

I started buying clothes from around 13 weeks, couldn’t help myself! I personally loved the experience of collecting different things for my daughter that I thought she would need! Admittedly she did end up with quite a few outfits after we were given items from family and friends, but she’s a drooly little thing so it worked out quite well 😂

I didnt buy a thing till after my baby shower which was at 32 weeks. People bought soooooo many clothes, i dont need to buy clothes till he’s like 9 months. Im glad i didnt buy any clothes- i woyld have had to return them. He was in newborn clothes for 4 weeks & has outgrown them already. Hes now in 0-3months size.

I bought maybe two or three little outfits before i found out the gender. But they were neutral and tan, grey or white. It’s honestly best to wait. Just in case. But do what you want.
