When are you getting a toddler bed ?

Is your baby still in a crib? Or is it time for a toddler bed ? Ftm here is I don’t know.

My oldest was in a crib until she was almost 3. She never tried to climb out of her crib & loved it, so we just kept her in there until we needed it for my youngest. Then she got a big girl bed & my youngest moved to the crib. Now my youngest is 17 months old & I have a feeling we'll have to move her to a toddler bed or mattress on the floor before she turns 2 (she "tests" the crib like her sister never did. Lol)...basically the minute your kiddo learns to climb out, it's time for something other than a crib. Otherwise, enjoy it while you can. Lol.

We have a convertible crib but we plan to keep her in as long as possible 🤷🏻‍♀️ as long as she doesn’t try and climb out, no need to try and switch just yet

We had my oldest in a crib until he asked for a bed... and we kind of encouraged the idea because his friends were talking about it at preschool. He was a couple months over 3.
My August baby is still in the crib and we plan to keep her there until it’s unsafe or she can ask for a bed. 
I figure there is no need to rush it unless there’s a problem.

It’s easiest to keep them in a crib as long as they aren’t climbing out. My 2.5 year old and 17 month old are both still in cribs.

My bot will NOT and never would sleep in his crib. Total waste of money. He’s went from his pack and play to a toddler bed a few months ago.

We aren’t moving our daughter until she starts trying to escape the crib. She is still very comfortable in her crib so it won’t be any time soon.

I have bought my girls big girl bed.  And keeping it in the spare room untill she is ready for it.

Moving a child to a bed too fast can cause issues. But every child is different, if your child is climbing out or often falls asleep on their own then go for it! This is normally around age 2. Personally my kid would just get right back up!

We did a floor mattress starting in September and got her a frame about 2 months later, as long as the room is baby proofed there's no reason not to.
