If your baby is a tummy sleeper, do they sleep better that way?

You know I love my polls 😂
During bedtime tonight (more specifically, during story time), my little guy rolled onto his tummy and started rubbing his face into the mattress (this is totally new, though he has been all over the crib recently during bedtime, it's cute how active he is and then just conks out when we leave the room). 
He then fell asleep like this, with his face to the side. 
He normally wakes twice a night...and we're just wondering if we're in for a better or worse night than usual ...

Mine instantly rolls onto her tummy and sticks her little butt up in the air 😂 I mentioned it at our last appointment and the doctor said it's perfectly fine to leave them like that if they get into the position by themselves!

I know my babe is fast asleep and in a deep sleep when she flips onto her tummy and puts her booty in the air LOL

My baby goes to sleep on her back, she sleeps like that most the night then she will roll on her tummy. I’m not gonna lie I don’t sleep good bc if I see on the monitor she’s on her tummy I go in her room and flip her back over. I prob get up 5 times at night. Once she’s a year I’ll leave her alone lol

My baby has been a tummy sleeper since he was about a month old and it’s the scariest thing but he relaxes and sleeps longer he also loves tummy time and he is trying to crawl already :/ I try putting him on his back and he would flip back to tummy 🤦🏻‍♀️ pediatrician said it was ok for him to sleep like that

I just asked my pediatrician friend, and she said that opinions are divided on rolling them back, but she personally would until the age of 1. Has anyone else heard this from their docs?

Side/belly sleeper, only wakes once regardless.
