Pregnant ?

I got my nexplanon inserted in September of 2019 and got a period a few days after . I got normal periods on October and november but in December I had what looked like implantation bleeding for a few days and have not gotten an actual period since then. I have been urinating a lot more frequently and get light headed sometimes. Back pain , sore breasts, and mood swings have also been bothering me a lot lately. Is it possible that I am pregnant??

The tough thing about this birth control is just that. You may not get a period but you still get the symptoms and the symptoms of periods and pregnancy are almost the same. Take a test to be on the safe side but I don’t think your pregnant. I’ve been on the Nexplanon coming up on 3 years. I’m ready to get it out. My mood swings are now severe. I quit my job and almost called quits on my relationship because I apparently can no longer handle my mood swings. Keep an eye on your mental health.

If u waited for the Nexplanon to be effective before not using condoms, then chances of pregnancy are extremely slim as Nexplanon is 99.9% effective. Progestin only methods like Nexplanon are most known for causing irregular bleeding/spotting patterns. That can include longer time frames with or without bleeding, random bleeding, or frequent bleeding, at any given time. But, u can always test just to be sure.
