glucose test NIGHTMARE

So I had my glucose test today. It was scheduled at 9:15. I got breakfast at Chick-Fil-A before hand and then drank the orange drink (which is not bad at all!) 30 minutes before my appointment in 5 minutes like I was told. I had barely drank any of it and already felt awful. I was surprised by this because there really isn’t that much sugar in it. I intake more sugar than that often (i crave nothing but sweets. it’s a problem). I went to my doctor’s office and felt not so great. I was taken back to a room and while waiting for the doctor I got sick... just my luck. I got my blood drawn an hour later(9:55). The lady got the needle in my vein but couldn’t get anything out. I then almost passed out but quickly recovered. After drinking some sprite the phlebotomist managed to get blood from my other arm. I hate needles so this was not a fun experiences at all. and GUESS WHAT??! Since I threw up before I could get my bloodwork done I now have to redo the test next month! Got stuck with needles a bunch of times for nothing! :))

Next time should be easier since I won’t be drinking the drink 👌🏻🙏🏻

EDIT: I ate protein only. I had NO carbs or sugar and I drank water. Also my doctor said I could eat before hand. I’ll be eating jelly beans next time instead of drinking the glucola.
