My other half is 44yo and I'm 30 so a fairly big gap. Sometimes we go at it like bunnies and then there is a drug spell which is like once or twice a month kinda thing. Although since I've been with him we've never experimented(toys etc) and weve never gone more than once. I'm not a super confident person so it took ages for me to mumble it out and he said in a jokey way ' that's because I'm not young and i give it my all in one go' lol I'll give him that considering it's not an "in and out" sex situation. In my opinion it’s not an “age thing” it seems more like you two have just fallen into a sex routine. Which for some people can be ￼satisfying, however you are sexually curious and that’s awesome! 
My advice would be to put something really sexy on and do some serious foreplay. Foreplay is so important. If you want him to go more than once then you need to put some work in girl! Start by kissing slowly, all down and around his body. Make your way down (taking your time) give him a dirty sloppy blow job and look up into his eyes while doing so. If this is done well he will most likely cum. After that he should do a little work on you if he’s a good guy lol! 
Then slide onto his lap and ride him so he’s not using all his energy up. You said he puts his all in at once so take some of the work so he won’t be worn out. Taking breaks in between to kiss and touch is great too. Even throwing in more oral is good. Putting all of this into your sex will make it feel like it’s not just one round and done. Get a little freaky each time and I totally think you should add in toys! Not an age thing, some guys can just go again and some cant.  Hubby is 3 months younger then me.  I'm 44 hes about to be.  I've never met a man that has to concentrate to make it go down after before.  He usually just goes once bit some days wow...

I had sex with a man that was 45 and he could literally go 2 times within minutes of each other. It was very surprising to me. So I don’t think it’s too much to do with age. My husband however is 24 and can only go once in a span of 12 hours. It just depends on the person I think. My husband also lasts 45+ mins whereas my ex lasted 2-20 mins.

When I was with my ex  he was 42 & I was 29.. i was in the same situation.   We did used toys once in a while, and if I wanted a second time we had to wait for him to recover and be good to go lol.

My husband is very satisfied with our sex life. It’s not very long but we both get off. He is more about quality over quantity. If he’s tired he can’t do oral. He does other things to get me off. He tends to be vanilla and likes that toys help get me there. He’s not big on many positions. He likes certain things in particular. Sometimes I want more and I know he would try. 
It’s not an age thing. He’s 47 and I’m 40. He’s not boring but he likes what he likes. He’s exhausted, stressed, over thinks.
