Still obese

So since the beginning of my weight loss journey about five months ago I’ve lost 20kg and i weigh 84kg at 165cm. My waist size has shrunk from 100 to 86, and because i do a lot of weight training i can definitely feel and see i’ve built muscle, especially in my upper body and legs. I eat balanced healthy meals 3-4 times a day at a caloric deficit (or it’s supposed to be but on some days i might snack on few extra things because the workouts leave me pretty hungry). I workout 4-5 times a week, mostly weight training but i also do HIIT once a week and i try to incorporate one low intensity cardio too at the end of a weight training session.

Despite all this, my BMI still marks me as obese and it feels incredibly disheartening. I struggled with binge eating disorder before I decided to commit to this and sometimes it’s incredibly hard to stay motivated. Especially on weight plateaus (im on my second one now) because i work out so much and deprive myself of a lot of foods i’d like to eat only to make it to the end of the week and realise i havent lost anything. I dont know what to do, i cant go with less food than this nor can i workout more because it just doesnt work with my studies, and i really need my rest days. The whole process is just starting to sound hopeless.

Thank you to everyone for being so positive and supportive 🥺🥺 in hindsight i admit i was being too harsh on myself but i had a weighing on the day i posted this and not seeing any results on the scale felt awful, i was so disappointed in myself. I really appreciate all the kind words and the advice you guys have given, i think im gonna stop obsessing so much over what the scale says and maybe get those body fat callipers and do this properly.
