Naps being held..

So our almost 8 month old does really well sleeping at night. He’s in his crib in his own room, he gets up once or maybe twice a night to breastfeed. But during the day I still haven’t broken the habit of letting him nap in my arms. He has two naps a day for about an hour each time. I know I should be putting him in his crib to nap and tried a few months ago. I really don’t mind the cuddles during the day, the tough part is when we travel I have a hard time getting his naps in. Anyone else still letting their little one use a crutch like this to nap?
