How soon after a tooth cuts does it come fully out?

My son turned 6 months a few days a go and right on schedule has cut his first tooth.

The picture isn’t perfectly clear but you can see that it’s just broken through the gums and the tooth next to it is close too. 
My son is still in pain and I’m wondering how long it’ll take before the tooth is fully out as I really hate seeming him in pain and upset!!

My daughter would cut them then the gums would swell over it then cut them again...it was about a week long process with each one once they initially cut through the skin before the pain and swelling stopped for her.

Once I was able to see the tip of the tooth coming out of the gums it was only a few says before it was out! Every baby is different, but mine’s came in hot!

The pain is the tooth coming through the gums. That shouldn’t take more than a couple days
