Cutting down cell phone usage

St

And it feels amazing. I only allow myself on my phone when my son is sleeping now. I've deleted all social media (except this) and games off my phone. I leave it in my bedroom with the ringer on just in case of calls. I find that if I have it near me I am constantly looking at it and getting on it. I am seeing a massive change in myself after only a week of this. I am concentrating better, I have more patience, I'm constantly engaging with my son (who's 1). I don't want my kids to learn bad habits with technology and so I made the change myself. Its amazing how much happier I am without this tiny computer in my pocket. Don't get me wrong its amazing we have access to the information we do in seconds from these portable devices. There are times though that I kinda want to go back to the old flip phone that only had Tetris on it, things were so much simpler then. These phones and apps are addicticting and it was so hard the first few days not to have my phone on my person at all times. I'm so glad I did this not only for my son but for myself.
