Our daughter is 13 months old. She, for whatever reason, loves to slap in the face and thinks it’s funny🤦‍♀️I’m blaming my husband because when she was a little younger he would laugh at her and it would basically encourage her to keep doing it. Now she’s doing it, and he doesn’t like it(obviously I don’t like it either). So we tell her no, firmly., she has figured out what no means. Yet she continues doing it. I think at this point she knows we don’t want her to do this, and both of us have stuck to saying no each time. Is this just something she will outgrow or do y’all suggest any solutions to this? Earlier he kind of slapped her hand out of the way when he told her no, and of course she welled up with tears and got her feelings hurt. And before anyone gets all dramatic, it wasn’t an actual “slap” and it didn’t hurt her. He basically kind of batted her hand out of the way when she did it. Surely you guys know what I mean lol

This doesn’t need to turn into any kind of spanking debate or lecture, and he’s an exceptionally good father to her and I think he secretly cried inside when he hurt her feelings😂 that’s why I’m looking for some of y’all that have dealt with mini slappers before and maybe can offer some advice🙋‍♀️or if we should just let her grow out of it and not give her attention from it🤔
