Support during IVF

Has anyone else’s friends or family been less than supportive during IVF?

When we told several close friends and family we were doing this, I have heard absolutely nothing from them. Some family members offered to help with money which was great at the time and I was so grateful, but I don’t think I’ll be seeing any money. I think it was just something they said at the time to seem nice.

I’m not sure if my friends are just oblivious because they are fertile and have their own families, or because two of them are super religious and probably disagree with IVF. Not that they’ve told me, but one religious friend refuses to respond to my IVF updates. She replies to everything and anything else.

Not to mention there are no therapists in my area that help with fertility issues, and there is one group meeting once a month that one other girl went to last time. Not super helpful.
