How long did you breastfeed before switching to formula?🍼

I’m debating when to switch my daughter to formula.  I’m exclusively pumping and I’m absolutely OVER IT. Really weighing my options at this point.

I exclusively pumped until 8 months and it was HARD! I went until it was becoming an issue for my mental health. I should have stopped sooner but I wanted so badly to get to a year. 
Do what’s best for you and your baby! I got a piece of breast milk jewelry at the end of our journey as a reminder to myself what I was able to do for her and for a little bit of closure.

Never switched to formula. Too many benefits in breast milk and it’s cheaper.

I exclusively pumped from 3months to 7months then switched to organic formula. Ignore everyone saying they never switched. That’s not what you asked. Do what you need to do. There’s nothing wrong with formula

My first son i struggled to breastfeed (I think it was due to anxiety) and switched to formula and 4 weeks old.
My second son I breastfed until he weaned at 18 months old. We never used formula and he went straight to cows milk from a cup.
With this current pregnancy I’m hoping to be able to breastfeed for just as long for both the health and financial benefits.
Here in Australia formula can be roughly $35 a can and it just makes a lot mote financial sense to breastfeed if I’m able to do so.

I switched my 1 child at 6 mo this and my second child at 9wks had to it was my health issues (mastitis 4 times) non stop since he was 1 week old so I had to give up but anyway long story short both my boys are extremely healthy and happy. Do it when it feels right hun breastfeeding it hard and your done a great job. X

I don’t plan on switching and we are 6 months in. I do get why you want to though because I hate pumping and I only do it twice a day! Maybe you could do donor milk so babe still gets all the benefits but less stress on you. I donate on the Facebook groups human milk 4 human babies and eats on feets, they have groups for every state.

I don't plan on ever switching. We had serious struggles in the beginning, but I finally got him to latch at 3 months. I had to pump exclusively until then. He is 9 months now, and I will go until he is ready to wean.
