3 year old loves serial killers 😲
Let me explain. I'm a big horror fanatic. I love all of the classics. Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street etc. My favorite holiday is Halloween and I have skull decor around my house. I have a skull themed bathroom too. Anyway. I have a 3 year old son. Who's now obsessed with everything spooky just like me and honestly, I'm so fucking happy. I have two boys and so far it seems I've decided to stop at two kids. Having just boys I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to relate to anything with them or something I can share. But since seeing my boy loves all things scary just like me, I have something I can share with him. I'm not a very girly girl anyway so I not having someone to do girly things with wasn't going to be such a problem. My mom on the other hand isn't so happy about his new love for serial killers. She was scolding me for allowing him to watch scary movies. She had my grandmother scolding me for it. I explained to her that this is something I can share with my son and if he's not afraid, why am I going to make him afraid? It's all pretend at the end of the day. His two favorite people right now are Jason and Pennywise. Each of those being my husband and I's favorites. He was even Jason Voorhees for Halloween this past year and still wears the mask around the house and out in public. I know some mom's wont agree with letting young children watch anything scary but I don't see the point in putting that fear into them either. My brother is against his kids watching anything scary and while my son is ooo-ing and awh-ing a Pennywise poster hanging up on our home..his son is running away from it screaming. 🤷🏻 My son is now walking around in public shouting "You'll float too!" and I get some interesting glances my way but I find it so adorable I can't even care. I'm that weird mom and he's my weird kid. 🖤🖤🖤
