husband is angry???

Question

So I’m at SAHM, always have been and my son is 17 months old. My husband works full time, overnights so he sleeps all day. He expects dinner or a lunch packed for him for work every night. I am pregnant again, and have horrible morning sickness (more like all freaking day) so I haven’t been cooking or cleaning or doing anything but caring for our crazy ass toddler and dogs. He was furious when he woke up for work just now because he was hungry and there was no food made. We don’t even have anything to make a meal besides chicken nuggets and fucking French fries???? and we don’t have bread so I couldn’t make him a sandwich?? Idk I just I’m just ranting because I’m tired of him acting like just bc I stay home I MUST cook and clean all the time like he isn’t a grown ass man. I go to school full time so it’s not like I sit on my ass and do NOTHING I’m annoyed

Rant all you want girl, you are entitled!!! I am currently on maternity leave (in Canada so it’s a year) I have a 22 month old and a 5 month old.  When my daughter was 1 and I was pregnant with my son IT WAS TOUGH!!! Your exhaustion is real, you making a human life!!! You need to ignore your husband being a child a focus on you right now.  
When your husband gets a couple days off maybe have a sit down with him, maybe remind him that just because your not working outside of the home, that in fact you are working 24-7 with no breaks!!! At least when he’s at work he can get 15 min breaks or a 1/2 lunch break with time to go on his phone and eat food, your probably lucky if you can use the washroom alone let alone eat a meal  lol.

I agree and disagree with you. Now hear me out. As a mom of 3 with rough I mean super high rosknpregnancies I get it where your coming from. It sucks and it is tough. 
Now fornwhere I disagree my husband works 7 days a week and some time home threw the week and some times gone for the week. Even whole pregnant I still made sure he was fed house was clean and kids cared for. 
So here is where you two need to meet in the middle. He needs to make sure you have what you need to do the the things he needs you to do. He needs to get up a hour or so early so he can watch the little one while you meal prep for him or offer to assist you. A relationship is built on give and take . So you both need to make sure the others needs are being met . It takes two.

Haha. He would not survive in my house.  I’m a sahm and my husband works overnight. I don’t make him food. Like ever. Hell I made something 3 days ago for him and it’s still in the refrigerator.  ￼￼

I don’t think it’s that he assumes you do nothing all day but he got accustomed to how you treated and took care of him and when it didn’t happen he felt upset about it. Men react differently than women do not saying it’s fair or right. I know how you feel with being busy around the house and morning sickness although I am not a SAHM I work and have one child and currently 39w this pregnancy has been extremely difficult and I have. It been cooking as much as I used to but what I do instead on days that have been hard is I will go pick up food to make it easier. You can do one of those rotisserie chickens and make some side dishes like rice and veggies or mashed potatoes and salad or something just have a quick meal hot and ready. Also the rotisserie chicken can be chopped up and you can make sandwiches with it too so it doubles and lunch and dinner. Again not saying he’s right or being fair to you but in marriage I’ve learned to pick my battles and when everyone else in the house has to eat as well a fight about food is not a battle I need or want to have you know what i mean.

When it comes to the Morning sickness i totally get you. It's not that you're lazy to cook, the smell of certain foods and sometimes just the though of food made me so sick. I'm a sahm too and look after our 21 month old daughter and in my second trimester now. It was really bad, my Ob prescribed about 3 different meds but none of them worked. I lost so much weight the first trimester from not eating. So my husband understood what I was going through and helped cook for the first few weeks. I would do the cleaning and look after the little one. Now I'm better and do everything by myself again.

It's unbelievably difficult, when you have morning sickness. When I become a stay at home mum I found talking to my grandmother and other older women helpful. A lot of the older generation were stay at home mothers. A lot managed very well on tight budgets, with several children and with husbands who saw cooking and house work as woman's work, more than most men do today and they often have very good advice on how to make it all to work. But my Grandmother's best marriage advice was a gentle answer turns away anger. She suggested that we can as wife and mother set the emotional tone to our home to a large extent, when a husband feels respected and loved (in all but abusive situations) , often they are much more receptive to supporting, noticing or hearing about their wife's needs. I hope you get through this time together, it's a time of adjustment for all of you.

I feel you.. my husband gets upset everyday about the mess but little does he know he comes in and throws his clothes all over the place, leaves food, plates, garbage everywhere.. everyday. 
If dinner isn’t done or the dishes it’s a problem cause I’ve been home all day and he always complains. My son is 3 months old 😩 I wish they could switch for a day. I’m pregnant too btw!! Ugh.
