Breastfeeding and dizzy?

Anybody else get dizzy after pumping or nursing? It dawned on me perhaps I’m low on iron. I never took the supplements they sent me home with after having my son because I had a huge C-section incision and hemorrhoids and was terrified of being constipated.  Now it’s been 7 months and I’m wondering if my LO sucked all the iron right out of me.

Yes! Sometimes it’s not that bad, but other times I feel like I’m going to fall over. I think it has to do with the release of hormones associated with feeding/pumping. I try to drink more water if it’s happening often throughout the day. I notice it more as the day goes on, so I’m thinking it’s also a hydration issue.

Take the iron and add magnesium to it. Not at the same time though. The magnesium will keep the iron from causing you constipation.  Had a C-section too and never had constipation as I religiously took my magnesium at night...n iron in the morning.  But I think the dizziness is a low on sugar. Iron can cause heart racing. I have felt dizzy when hungry. And glucose did the trick for me until I got STH to eat. But am no doc to say with 100% you are low on sugar as milk has sugar.
