Toddler haircut?

Me and my husband are talking about taking our daughter for her first haircut this weekend ( she’s 2 years old). I really don’t want to cut it but it goes in her eyes and stuff so we kind of have to. I usually do a little ponytail but she’s started pulling them out. I’m just wondering if there’s anything else I can do? Her hair isn’t growing down, it’s just growing like out. It’s literally like Jim’s hair from The Office lol. I don’t know what to do! I love her and her crazy hair. I also worry because I know she is not going to be ok with scissors near her face. Any tips to help me help her get through a haircut? Or what to tell the person cutting to do with her hair? I was told by someone not to just have her bangs cut so idk lol. TIA!
