Trigger shot timing?

I’m curious at what follicle size your doctor triggered for ovulation? I’m currently taking clomid and monitoring follicles with ultrasounds.

I started surging on my own yesterday afternoon so I went in this am early. Two follicles (27 & 30) on my right with a bunch of fluid as well (they thought I might have released the third follicle already that they saw on my initial scan), and left side was “quiet” with no measurable mature follicles. So they did the IUI an hr later.

I had 2 follicles and they measured 26 and 29 I believe, but I had begun to surge on my own. When I triggered I didn’t wait 36 hrs to go back. They had me come in 12 hrs later so they didn’t miss it.

Mine was 23mm but they said it also depended on my estrogen levels too. They had me take my trigger that night and come in a day and a half later for iui
