does anyone else not get any ultrasounds?

I'm 28+5 my last one was around 20 weeks for the anatomy and I dont get anymore ☹ I just want to make sure baby is growing and healthy. my doctor says everything is good and I will start to go every 2 weeks now for appointments. has anyone paid for a private 3d or 4d at this point?

I’ve had 2 private ones in the past one just for fun and one to find out the gender early, I paid $55 for both. Got 20 different pictures to take home too!

My doctor doesn’t do them past week 20 until 36 weeks (just before they consider the pregnancy “term”) for a growth scan. I was also wondering about this because so many people seem to get them more often.

Yeah it's normal. Usually 20 weeks and before is the most important, but after that, as the baby gets bigger, it's hard to get a scan on everything. I only had one at 38 weeks (after my 20 week scan) but that was due to having high blood pressure so they wanted to make sure the baby was OK. I won't be getting another ultrasound with this baby unless something else comes up like the first one.

I only get the 20 week one as well . I’m in Canada and that’s all you get in my province unless you are high risk or have some type of complication that needs to be monitored .  I booked my own 3D one for

I’m going tomorrow for a private 3D/4D, I never had one with my first and miss seeing my baby. But with my first I remember that after my 20 week one I didn’t get another one done till 36weeks

That is normal. They dont need ultrasounds to see that things are going well, they have other ways. You can always pay for private ones, but insurance wont cover it.

At my office I think they do the 20 week anatomy scan then not another until around 30-32 weeks. My office doesn’t do 3D ones at all till after 30 weeks. I’m 28 weeks and I’ve only NOT gotten an ultrasound twice, but my doctor is very adamant about seeing the baby. Lol. I guess it just depends on the doctor really.

I too am wondering about a private 3 or 4D ultrasound I got an ultrasound at 20 weeks but won't get another one until 36 week's to see if he's still breech or not.

I’ve had a few but that’s because I am high risk otherwise I believe in Canada we also only do the 20 week scan and maybe the dating scan too.
