should I shave for a colonoscopy?

I am currently being tested for IBD and will probably have to have a colonoscopy. should I shave my pubes before hand? if anyone else has had a colonoscopy before, did you shave? I’m just so worried about it. any other advice or info I should know about colonoscopies would be really helpful :)

They aren’t going on through the front. And honestly doctors don’t care if you shave your legs etc. the worse part of a colonoscopy is the prep. You literally crap yourself until it turns white or clear. The actual procedure is like a breeze after that crap. Neosporen with pain relief is your best friend after all that crapping.

I get them done all the time from previous colon cancer. Personally I shave close to a week or so before just to make myself not feel so awkward about it and so it's not uncomfortably long, but I let it start to grow out just in case I get razor burn or irritations from it. I don't want irritations to be bugging me when I'm doing the prep or when I'm home not feeling great after.
