Just going to rant a little because I am so pissed off. I went in for my gestational diabetes 1 hr today. Drank the horrible orange drink and sat down to wait the hour, heard the timer go off and beeped for about 2 min. I figured one of the techs could come out to get me for the blood draw. I’m waiting and waiting 15 min pass so I go up to the desk and ask the woman how much longer it will be since the timer went off. She jumps up grabs the timer and exclaims “omg the timer stopped and didn’t go off” I was not impressed and flat out told her yes it did and it was loud. They rush me into a room and draw my blood and the tech makes a comment that there is a good possibility they won’t be able to use it for the test as it has to be drawn no more than 15 min past the hour mark.

Sure enough I just got a call that I will have to repeat the test as the sample was not valid.
