Hello I have a question for all you.

What's up with the daycare (aged)birthday parties?

Some background… I am almost 40 in of had my 1st child at 35. Growing up my family did not go to birthday parties unless it was family or very very close friends. My parents didn't throw us birthday parties until I was 5. And I really don't remember much other birthday parties after that.

So I find it a bit odd that strangers would invite me to their house... For their day care aged children... For a party that they will not remember. I can understand a place like trampoline park or chucky cheese, but not their home.

On the other hand I can see why people would want to do that to meet other parents to see what kind of children are growing up with theirs. Maybe I'm thinking too much into this, but like I said this is unfamiliar territory.

Let me also add I am not a people outgoing person. Plus I'm mostly older then most.

I have been invited to two this week!
