Questions to ask at first OB/ultrasound?

Do you ask about hospital procedures, tours, routines, birthing plans? Is that for another time?
What should I prepare for my first appointment? Currently 7-8 weeks and waiting for that first appointment for expected due date and measurements!

I saved most of that stuff for another appointment later on. I did bring up my birth plan and I asked questions about meds. They ended up giving me a paper with it all listed on what meds I was okay to take. I asked about what to expect from future appointments. Who/what number to call in an emergency. What are things I shouldn’t call for and just go to the ER. When do I get ultrasounds. Things like that.

most hospitals offer like meet the doulas/ob and tours. i guess everywhere is different but my clinic is just a clinic, the hospital is where i’ll give birth again. and i didn’t bother to tour it or anything. also my clinic doesn’t have ultrasound so i had to go to a partner one downtown at a separate appointment to get my dating scan. feel free to ask them whatever you want write all your questions down and they will love that your asking .
