Birth control and Plan B

So we had sex Jan 8, took plan b a few hours after. Had all the side effects. Nausea, headache, cramps, backache. Plan B was temporary. After about 6 days, I started bleeding. Spotting/light. Only when I pee and I wipe there’s blood and it’s not even on my underwear. Today it has got heavier a little. I started a new birth control, the patch yesterday. I was hoping it would ease the bleeding a little but nothing yet. I did call my doctor and told her but has anyone had experience with this?
