So I had a midwife appointment yesterday, 16 weeks to the day. I'm based in the UK, and with my previous pregnancy, we listened to the heartbeat at every appointment. Yesterday we were finishing up so I said 'arent we going to listen to the heartbeat?' And the midwife said no we dont do that til your next appointment.. at 25 weeks. I have my 20 week scan in between but I just left and I feel confused? Why wouldn't we listen to it? I wish I'd have questioned abit more now or insisted on listening. What do you think??
