Has anyone done a black accent wall in the nursery?

I'm looking to do a black accent wall like the pics below. But what color should the other walls be?

We did a grid wall like this in a dark gray for a rental property we own, and kept the other walls white. I considered light gray for the other walls too but the white is a little crisper and bright.

I like the idea!  I would do the color “Peppercorn” it’s dark but not jet black
