Nervous and excited
So my boy friend and I clicked over a mutual interest in a specific type of obstacle race (I'll leave the name out). Just 2 weeks ago he surprised me with a registration.
...yup. He registered me for a 3 mile 10 obstacle race thats happening this May and I'M SO FUCKING NERVOUS. Excited yes, this has been a life goal but still nervous. Ive been out of shape for the past 3 years now. I had a healthy body then after a messy breakup, health suprise (I have a tumor that I'm monitoring) and excessive weight gain, I went from 150 lbs to 250 lbs in about a year and a half. My health issue affected my weight but so did depression. Since then Im better and I've lost 30 lbs but still I have a long way to go. Im in a great relationship first off with myself and secondly with everyone else and Im really lucky to have a guy on my side that wants what's best for me and is so supportive. He was once overweight and I feel that he understands the struggle.
So now I have to get fit in like 3 months and I know I wont do great because I haven't really worked out consistantly since I was leaner (everything hurts) so Im making a few diet changes and Ive lost a bit more. Any tips you ladies have on working out or dieting when about to run a marathon?
