Please help??

I starting spotting a few days earlier during ovulation, then full out bleeding yesterday. Worse today. Cramping and feeling really nauseous....this has never EVER happened to me. Periods have always been regular. Has anyone ever had this happen? I found out about a month ago that I have a small cyst on one of my ovaries....would that cause that??
