At what age were you Baptized?

I’ve seen a lot of people posting that they were recently Baptized, which is AMAZING! 💕💕💕
I was just curious how this group splits up by way of when everyone was Baptized. It’s interesting to me! 😄 Feel free to share your story!

I was sprinkled as an infant as means to dedicate me to the Lord.  But I didnt get baptized until I  was 16 years old. It was my decision that my parents made sure I understood/was sure about.

I was baptised as a baby in a Catholic church and grew up in a Catholic family and schools and got confirmed for my mom. My family wasn't religious though and church going was on and off and not sincere.
While I did believe in God and Jesus all that time, I didn't actually do any of that stuff for me or for Jesus or care. I did it because my family wanted to see me do that stuff. I kept my faith little and private after that and it was between me and God. 
Until I met my husband, then boyfriend. He was Methodist and invited me to his nondenominational church. I fell in love. I had NO idea church could be that way. It felt right and how church should be and actually Bible based vs what I was use to. It felt real and the people felt real. Needless to say, I kept going and started volunteering.
Flash forward to now, I was ready to be baptised in Christ. It took 10 years for me to decide because I thought I was already saved because I was baptised as a baby. But I realised for me, baptised as a baby didn't count because that was more of a gesture for my parents. I myself had to choose. So I did and I got an adult water baptism. And my husband who was there from the beginning of this journey got baptised right next to me at the same time because he too was only baptised as a baby and was so patiently waiting for me.
The best I can compare it to is baptism is like a marriage and YOU are publicly declaring Jesus is yours and you believe in Him. It is you making that choice and commitment and not being ashamed. Would you hide or be ashamed of you getting married to someone? That's what made sense for me and it being me finally deciding for me, not what others want.
And I fought for a long time with myself if I could even be baptised because I didn't think I was good enough for it yet or that I had to be a better Christian first before I could be. WRONG! We are broken and flawed and always will be and that is the point. We don't deserve it, yet Jesus died for us anyway. We have been saved by His grace and he is waiting for us to start a relationship with Him. Baptism is just water and a choice, it won't keep you from sinning and you will never be perfect after, but you have to commit to trying to be better and trying to be and do more of what Jesus taught. You'll still mess up, and that's OK!! Jesus knows we can't do it on our own, that's why He came. And I am still very private with my faith, but I'm working on it.

I got baptized when I was around 7. My pastor initially told my mom I was probably too young, but I remember him sitting me down and asking me questions about the faith and purpose of baptism.  He then told my mom that I understood and I got the go-ahead to get baptized. I was a very serious youngster.

I was saved at age 11, baptized at age 12, It was only 3 weeks apart. Saved-August 2nd, Birthday-August 5th, Baptized-August  30th, 2009.

I got Baptized when I was 8 but my relationship with God then is completely different than it is now. Once high school hit, I stopped going to church. Although I’ve always believed in God I now know believing and following are two completely different things. A few years back I went through the worst time of my life. My husband found God for the first time and I renewed my relationship with Jesus. We plan on getting baptized together very soon!

I was Baptized as an infant, and I went through Confirmation classes in 7th grade! We had our daughter Baptized at 6 months old.

Was baptized as a baby in a Lutheran Church, then when I was older, we started attending non-denominational churches and I decided to be baptized as an adult, because I believe it should be an adult’s decision. In the Bible, I don’t recall any baptisms of infants 🤷🏻‍♀️
