Baby Suppositories???????

Hello mamas my baby is 1 Month old and her doctor told me to give her this what you guys think I don’t feel comfortable giving her this I feel so bad putting that in her little tiny butt my poor baby.

It is NORMAL for breastfed babies to not always poop every day, I’m not sure why your pediatrician would tell you otherwise! There’s a lot of variation in poop with breastfeeding, some poop all the time and some only every few days, and it’s all normal. If your baby is eating normally, peeing normally and doesn’t have a real hard belly then I would not worry. 
Sometimes they fuss a lot with digestion and gas and again it’s normal. This is a human who has never had digest food for the first 40 weeks of its existence.  Their bodies are figuring it out and they are getting used to the sensation. 
I would consult with a lactation person or find a pediatrician who is more knowledgeable about breastfeeding 😬

Have you tried the tip of a rectal thermometer? If you dip it in Vaseline and just put the tip in to try and stimulate her to poop...worked for my brother all the time when he was a baby!

That’s really tough and would bother me too. I had no idea this product existed.
My friend uses Ovol, have you tried that? It helps with gas really well and might get things going 🤷‍♀️

I put it in and not even 5 minutes it was already out with a little bit of poop but the thing is I’m breastfeeding I thought it wasn’t supposed to make them constipated? He just told me to us it as needed when she really couldn’t go. Sometimes she just goes just once a day and he told me that she supposed to go every time she feeds so idk I just feel bad she can’t go on her own I have to help her.

Use lots of Vaseline! I had to when baby was 3 weeks old as she didn’t poo for 10 days. But I was told to cut it so it’s only the pointy end fits in her bum. Baby will feel a little uncomfortable, but it worked within 15 minutes
