Is it weird for siblings to have the same middle name if it is a family name on both sides?

My husband's middle name is Paul. It is also my dad and brother's middle name because it was my grandma's maiden name. My first son has the middle name Paul, and we are having another boy in May. My husband said it would be weird for siblings to have the same middle name, but I think it would be cute. It would also add meaning to my second son's name since the first name is just one we both like.

I know two little sisters that have the same middle name.  I don’t think it’s common, but not that uncommon.

In my family all the women have the same middle name. My niece was named after someone who passed away last minute so they added it and she has 2 middle names just to keep our tradition.
