How do you put your baby down to sleep?

And to add-if you are doing drowsy but awake, did you sleep train? We are suddenly having so much trouble putting our girl into her crib. Considering our options...

Combination of fed to sleep and cosleep.  If I’m going to put him down, I wait until he’s so out a train couldn’t wake him 😂

Drowsy but awake. His daycare started doing that to get him to sleep in his crib for naps and it transferred easily to night sleep.

We had to do the CIO method to put him to bed at 7 / 7:30 - otherwise he would stay up really late if we waited for him to get tired enough. Takes a couple nights to get done. The first night was the hardest but it's great now. He knows the routine.  He's still in a bassinet but I'm hoping that because we have such a consistent nighttime routine now that the transition to the crib shouldn't be too bad.

Have done all, drowsy but awake has worked on occasion but if she starts crying I’ll rock her to sleep. If she falls asleep nursing that’s fine too, I’ll just put her in her crib asleep. She sleeps 9-12 hours a night so I know she can connect her sleep cycles and put herself to sleep. We enjoy rocking her and I’m not willing to let her cry so it works for us.

We will start sleep training around 6 months when he moves to his own room.

Drowsy but awake. We did this as a newborn in his own sleep space and maintained the habit. When we put him down he may cry for a minute of two then falls asleep
