when feeling around for my strings i felt a little bit of protruding plastic from my iud..is it normal for it to stick out of your cervix a little?

Absolutely not. See your doctor ASAP you’re IUD is likely expelling.you should only feel your cervix and strings, no plastic.

Your IUD has come out of place. Visit your GYN ASAP and in the meantime try to refrain from sex if possible (I know it sucks but you could risk damaging your cervix or uterus, not to mention women can get pregnant if the IUD comes out of place). The GYN will probably try selling you on a replacement IUD, however I personally would recommend trying a different form a birth control since it will most likely be a repeat. IUD’s are great but aren’t one size fits all. Best of luck! 💕

No your iud is out of place. Call your doctor it needs to be taken out you can get a new one.
