First dentist visit?

Have you mommies took your babys to the dentist yet? I know you can take them as soon as they get their first tooth but I wanted yo wait till he had more. Now he has all his front teeth and growing in his first molar. I feel silly taking my LO in with so little teeth lol I know they will most likely only do cleaning Idk 
 Also how do I help him to not freak out he already hates the doctor cuz he got so many shots on his last visit

My daughter has 11 teeth and I took her to the dentist last week. I’ve heard too take them around a year old but some dentists won’t see children till they’re 3. They just took their finger and rubbed her gums to make sure they were coming in right and what not but that was about it nothing serious yet

I’ve taken my son in and they only check their teeth they don’t do any cleanings or anything.

I took my baby to a Pediatric Dentist earlier this month. She has 8 teeth. They checked her mouth; gums, the way her teeth are growing in, made sure no issues, and did a cleaning (using a regular toothbrush) & fluoride treatment. Just as you would take your baby to a Pediatrician for a Well Baby Visit it is important to do the same for oral health as well. If anything was wrong then early prevention or treatment is always best when available. It also helps the baby to establish a good relationship with the dentist and helps them to get comfortable with going.
