My mother-in-law over steps often

Okay, so a little back story..me and my mother in law get on really well most of the time and we've become close over the years, however, my mother in law takes over a lot and gets really upset and tells my husband how upset she and that her efforts aren't appreciated and tries to convince him to change my mind by crying :/

She pretty much planned mine and my husband's wedding reception (with our actual wedding we didn't tell anyone till we had already planned it) and anytime I said no she would get upset and not talk to me for a few days or until I would agree with her.

I'm only 8 weeks pregnant and she's already telling me that the colours I want to do in the nursery should be different. For example, I want gray and light blue (regardless of the gender) and then either decorate with flower stickers for the walls for a girl, or dinosaur stickers for a boy but I like blue and gray especially since I'll be breastfeeding and spending lots of time in there through the day I'm sure...but she is insisting that I do black, white and she wants to pick out everything. I love my mother in law but she has a problem respecting what I want. She also says she'll be staying with us for the for the first few weeks and I do really appreciate her offer, I'd rather it just be me and my husband for the first bit unless I ask for her help. I know it's early on to be talking about the nursery and all that but I like to plan ahead.
