Am I asking too much?! 😡

Little back story... my SO and I recently separated because he wasn’t financially supportive, smoked a shit ton of weed which made it so he never communicated with me, he constantly lied, never helped out with our son unless I begged him over and over and over to, and just a million other reasons. He says that he is now sober but who really knows. He now lives with his mother who also smokes. Today was his day to spend time with Río and he borrowed my car since it had the car seat in it. It’s one of those that is a nightmare to put in and out so I was happy to let him borrow it. When he came back, (mind you, he brought him back early since he wanted to have dinner with his “family”.... I guess Río isn’t priority) my car smelled heavily of weed....

Jake denied it was him and blamed it on his mom. So I texted her and asked if she knew why my car smelled. She said “No idea”.

So I decided to send them a group text....

So Jake said you smoked upstairs and it must have wafted into the car... you must have smoked a shit ton of weed for smoke to go downwards towards the garage. Sounds like a weird story to me that doesn’t really add up. Maybe one of you could get your story straight. If that story is even true, I’d like to ask you to not smoke around my child. Río is my priority. Regardless if you think weed is bad or not, I don’t want it around him, period. If weed is your priority and not Río, then I will no longer allow him at your home and you can visit him at mine instead. I don’t care what you guys do in your free time, just leave my son out of it. Goodnight.

I’m livid. They both can go fuck off. I don’t have an issue with weed per say but my SO becomes a complete idiot and it’s not safe for Río to be around anyone under the influence. My SO has already left him multiple times at the top of the stairs BY HIMSELF. Plus many other things.

I’m filing for child support tomorrow.
