So almost a year ago. I got a gastric bypass. I've lost over 130lbs. I had to get on IUD for medical purposes. Last week I got it out. We will start trying. Anyone here have any advice?

Wow, way to go! My advice is to have patience, listen to your body, and trust in it. I had the mirena from 2007 to 2012 and didnt get pregnant until 2017, which ended in miscarriage. But I had a successful pregnancy almost exactly a year after, and I'm due again in 7 or so weeks. After having the mirena I had irregular periods, the miscarriage actually regulated them. But I didn't seek help, when I should have. And slowly allowed myself to build a prison of depression that was consumed with obsession. Don't let that be you. Don't be afraid to reach out. You've come so far already! Good luck girl and baby dust! 
*Oh and I also recommend wondfo ovulation sticks and pregnancy tests, like 20 bucks on Amazon for a shit ton. Sorry for the long comment lol

I had a gastric band which was a huge disaster and almost killed me but I lost a bunch of weight trying to work with the band and I kept it off for 10 years. I had an IUD (mirena) for 5, got it out and immediately started TTC. It took 6 months, but it took me 6 months the second time we tried also. I gained a ton of weight with my first, but you probably won’t have that same problem if you recently had bypass. I would DEFINITELY meet with your ob before getting it out, ask about the timing, and ask if you have special concerns because of the bypass. For sure you’re gonna want to have started an amazing prenatal vitamin and to get your levels checked because of the malabsorption issues.
