Tearing stomach muscles (Breech Bub)

Renee

This is my 3rd Bub and I’m 32+3weeks and he decided a few weeks ago to turn head down but didn’t like it do flipped back within 12 hours and the pain was dreadful both times he turned, I got tears in my eyes from the pain.

I have had spinal surgery through my tummy (yes you read that right) and I have a scar that goes through my belly button all the way down to my 2 previous c-section scars, so with all that scar tissue in my tummy, it was inevitability gonna hurt.

The midwife and Doctor have said they will leave him breech, as there might be a reason he flipped back e.g due to scar tissue from my spinal operation, plus I have to have a c-section anyway, due to my spine plus I have to go fully under and that makes me freak out and sad, to think I’m not going to hear his first cry, but I just have to remind myself that it’s safer for him and I this way.

When I was at my last midwife appointment taking about all this. I explained to her that I was feeling the separation tearing of muscles at the top of my tummy from his head and also tearing around my belly button. She instantly told me that’s not good and I need to see their physio at their clinic and she happens to be there and has no patient at the moment, so I went in the next room to see her and she gave me a few easy tummy exercises, to do. She also put me in this tubigrip, tummy support and it’s amazing. (I’m Australian so I could be called something different where you are)

It’s so soft and doesn’t irritate my scars, but supports my tummy amazing. Plus I’m in western Sydney with all the heat and fires and it’s light enough that it’s not uncomfortable to wear in the heat. So a massive win Win!!!

I’ll put a few pic in of my stomach after my spinal operation (when it was healing) and a pic of my stomach after it healed but before I was pregnant and then one of the scar now while I’m pregnant. Just in case you’re interested in totally understand what I’m going on about

This is the Tubigrip (AMAZING)

Stomach after spinal operation, healing nicely

Stomach when healed and before I was pregnant. (I have lose skin from losing 75kgs/165lbs)
