Can I get a period and still be pregnant?

Hey all, 
This may seem like a dumb question, but can a woman still get their period and still be pregnant. I started mine on Sunday and it was bright red with clots, so I’m pretty sure it wasn’t implantation bleeding. Should I completely rule out that I’m pregnant or still get tested when it’s over?

You can have some bleeding but it doesn’t resemble a period at all. Implantation bleeding is rare and it’s barely anything and light in color. Sounds like your period

I highly highly doubt you’ll be pregnant if you’re bleeding. It won’t be implantation because that doesn’t have clots. Sorry

i’ve heard that some women can “bleed” while pregnant but it’s light kinda like spotting and light color. so totally different from a period 
what you described sounds like a dead on period. so i would cross out the possibility of being pregnant
